Salon Owner / Manager
Having grown up in New York, Linda found her way to Los Angeles, CA in 1992. She eventually found work as a receptionist at a prestigious salon in Hollywood, which is when she realized she had found her calling in the beauty industry. She quickly advanced to being salon coordinator, and in 2002 opened Frenchy’s Beauty Parlor in Burbank, CA.
Frenchy’s timeless retro aesthetic and homage to the glamorous good ole days found a following in the unique niche of the hot rod/ pin-up culture, yet still appealed to the masses. After establishing itself as a successful salon in California, Linda decided to pursue her desire to open a 2nd location. The pull of Austin’s music scene and strong sense of community had been tuggin’ at her for years, and so, in March of 2008, along with her friend and now business partner, Linda Matthews-Cooey, they opened the doors to Frenchy’s in the heart of South Austin.
In all the places she’s lived and experienced, none has felt more like home than here. She adores her “Frenchy’s girls” and feels like this is a perfect fit for the next chapter of her beloved salon.
When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her new family and her faithful dogs, Ginger and Nico, traveling, hiking the greenbelt, dancing the honky-tonks, checking out all the great local eats (and drinks!) and soaking in all that Austin has to offer.
Salon Owner / Stylist
Originally from North Manchester, England, Linda was only 19 when she packed her bags and moved to sunny California. After several years working in special effects, she discovered her passion for hair.
In 2001 she earned her Cosmetology license and quickly grew into an accomplished and talented stylist. In addition to incredible colors and cuts, she also does beautiful, seamless extensions.
After leaving L.A. in 2005, she and her husband finally settled in Austin in 2008 to open Frenchy’s with her friend and business partner. Since opening the doors in March of that year, she quickly developed a loyal clientele, which continues to grow today. She is continuously growing as a stylist with advanced education classes from Vidal Sassoon London and New York, to balyage and brazilian blowouts certifications.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time at home with her husband, and their pup Biscuit, gardening, running the trail at town lake, and floating the beautiful Austin rivers.

Becca’s biggest motivation as a stylist, is her fascination with the individual. It’s the small things that make everyone so unique from the next, and these slight nuances are where I find the most beauty. She holds a BFA in photography, so she is fully trained to look at the tiniest details while also paying close attention to composition and structure, which is quite similar to how she approaches every client. In other words, the details matter as much as the bigger picture and end result.
She loves coloring hair, her specialties include redheads, blondes, and keeping the hair looking natural and dimensional. But, she loves her brunettes and funky colors too. She enjoys cutting and styling wavy and curly hair, and has lots of tips on how to make it beautiful and low maintenance.
